Heather Talbot was born and raised in Greenville, Texas. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee and went on to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Memphis. Heather married George Talbot whose position as the Political Editor of the Mobile Press-Register moved them to Fairhope. Heather began working in the Birth Center at Thomas Hospital in 2001 and while working, completed a Masters Degree in Nursing Science at the University of South Alabama in 2005 to become a Nurse Practitioner. Heather completed her Ob/Gyn practicum with Dr. Shoemaker and had worked closely with him as a nurse in the Birth Center, so her coming into practice with him was a natural progression. Heather and her husband George have two children, George Downie and Cecelia, and she loves spending time with her family and traveling.
